4.0 Changelog:

Added Nightmare Eye mobs which the Red Nightmare boss spawns at 1/2, 1/4 and 1/8 health to shoot fireballs at players

Nerfed the Red Nightmare's armor from 60% to 50% to make up for the extra attacks it can now do

Added Wither Skeleton reinforcements which the Wither Skeleton Commander can spawn at 1/2, 1/4 and 1/8 health

Added a magical beam attack which Sporeking will occasionally use to give players short blindness, darkness or levitation effects, with a new custom sound

Added Spell mobs which when summoned by the Plaguemaiden shoot magic beam attacks at the player

Added tag support for Eyelid (not a specific mod but rather shared tags I'm likely to reuse for different mods, only use for the new tags at the moment is making wands/magical items in Shadowlands repairable with the Repair Spell from Realms of Redemption)

Added a ceiling, obsidian spikes, giant chains and hanging spikes/saws to the Blood Forest dimension

Added spikes to the sides of trees in the Blood Forest

Added surface lava pools to the biomes in the Blood Forest

Added Abysmite Forest biome to the Blood Forest

Added Tall Shadow Forest biome to the Shadow Forest

Added Glow Lichen to the biomes in the Shadow Forest

Added water/lava springs to most Shadowlands biomes

Added item descriptions to the Blood Orb, Hellish Eye, Void Upgrade Core and Blood Key

Added config options for boss health

Added Shadow Vines to the caves in the Shadow Forest

Added Cursed Metal Block, Metal Block, Demonic Bricks (with slab, stair and wall varients), Shadow Vines (with flowering varients, Purple Zircon item/ore/block, Wall Spikes, Void Flower, Polished Shadowstone Stairs, Abysmite Saw Pillar, Shadow Wood Fence Gate/Door/Trapdoor, Creeperwood Fence Gate/Door/Trapdoor, and Vellium Fence Gate/Door/Trapdoor)

Changed Blood Forest world height from -64 - 384 to 0 - 256 as the caves were all filled with lava anyway so no point having all that extra underground with no reason to go there

Changed spikes to no longer do damage (since it just made the Blood Forest annoying)

Changed Purity Armor full set buff to be wither effect immunity

Changed Summoning Circle to no longer require visiting every Shadowlands dimension to use

Changed Firey Sword to act more like Flint and Steel when used

Changed Velibeast to no longer use enderman AI, they can now occasionally spawn with a skeleton riding them or with a potion effect

Changed Large Creeper to act more like a normal creeper (including being chargeable)

Removed the Vellium Music and Sparkpolia Music sounds.json entries since the actual sound files were deleted ages ago

Removed all content related to the Guardian Boar boss (Guardian Bane Sword, Guardian Boar entity, idol, statue and golden statue) as the boss was really just a remnant of the scrapped Sparkpolia dimension and did not fit the current content

Removed Red Castle Helper and Cloud Tower Helper and replaced the custom placement system used by the Red Castle and Cloud Tower with a far more sensible jigsaw one

Removed the skyblock style rarity stuff from loot in various structures as well as traders and the guide book

Removed unused blocks/needs_enhanced_shadowmetal_tool tag

Removed some unused textures, localization entries, code and structure files

Removed Averite Leaves, Averite Grass and Creeper Forest Grass from creative tabs since they have not generated since old versions

Removed Saw Pillar from the Twilight Forest NYI tag

Removed Stripped Void Log - Void Logs now are stripped to Stripped Shadow Logs

Removed Giant Strider Hide since the mob which dropped it was removed in 3.0

Removed Vellor Coral and Velliar Coral since they haven't generated since old versions and do not fit the current Velluium dimension

Removed Glowing Crystal

Removed the Trident Go Ding advancement since the block which triggered it was removed in v3.0

Removed the An Interesting Stone advancement since due to Glowing Crystal being removed it had nothing to trigger it

Removed additional enchanted golden apple drop from the Emperor Wither which didn't go in the chest

Fixed buggy spawn placement for many modded entities (no the giant creepers spawning halfway up trees was not intentional, though funny)

Fixed Polished Shadowstone blocks/slabs/walls not dropping when mined

Fixed Red Dusklilys and Duskflowers not generating

Fixed Duskflower being called Shadow Bloom (there's already another flower in the mod with that name)

Fixed Ghostmetal equipment being repairable with... red cactus blocks??

Fixed Star Crystal full set buff giving jump boost 3 instead of the stated 2

Fixed Tall Spike not using the Spike item description

Fixed Polished Shadowstone using the DropsExperienceBlock class

Fixed Large Creeper not dropping xp

Release notes (READ BEFORE UPDATING):

4.0 should be compatible with worlds from 3.0 and above, however there will be odd borders between old and new terrain and potentially bugged lighting near removed blocks or blocks where the light level has been changed. Addon/modpack developers should check through any Shadowlands FTB quests files they have to check for broken parts, and should check logs for broken custom recipes/loot tables/other datapack elements they have added containing items from this mod. Feel free to reach out to me if you need any help with that.

Future plans:

Vellium needs reworking, more models/textures need changing, several bosses need more detailed fights, there's still so much to do but it will need to wait, I'm running low on motivation again.
