Crazy Chocobos adds the Chocobo, a mount from the game series 'Final Fantasy' made by Square Enix.

*This mod's production is not promoted by or associated with Square Enix

Chocobo nests can be found, uncommonly, in the wilds of the Overworld, generally in hot biomes. Break them to get 1-3 Chocobo Eggs. Eggs can be hatched by right-clicking with one in your hand.

Chocobos can be tamed like horses and take the same foods.

They can come in almost 5000 combinations, including colors, patterns, and breeds!

There are 3 breeds of Chocobo:

Destrier: Largest breed. Slow and heavy, yet boasting the most health out of all the breeds.

Rounsey: The mid-sized, all-rounder breed. The fastest and highest-jumping of all the breeds, with average health.

Kennel: The smallest breed. Not very fast, but are decent jumpers. They have the least health of all the breeds.

Chocobos can be ridden with saddles, and can carry chests. Chests can be sheared off.

There's a "Replace Horses" config that can be turned on. It simply replaces all vanilla horses, donkeys and mules with Chocobos instead.

Thank you to FrostedWyvern for the Chocobo animations!

Q: Animations won't play or aren't playing correctly?

A: This is actually a Geckolib issue. Try turning off your Entity Shadows in both your game options and your shader options, especially if you're using a shader loader like Iris. You can also try turning off the Iris/ Oculus Geckolib Compat mod if you're on 1.20.1. We can't fix this issue on our end unfortunately.
